Meet Ard und Jorn, a dynamic duo whose musical journey began in the vibrant local studio scene of the southern Netherlands. It was in this creative hub that Ard and Jorn first crossed paths, marking the inception of a collaboration that would make waves in the world of electronic music.

Their debut project, the iconic “Ard Und Jorn – 16,” is not only a testament to their artistic prowess but also stands as a memorable milestone in their career. Crafted within a mere 24 hours, the track draws inspiration from a fusion of records and the distinct sounds of Joy Kitikonti. Little did they know that this venture would propel them to the forefront of the music genre they would come to define.

In 2002, “16” became a phenomenon, claiming the title of the best-selling record in the Hardstyle genre. The duo’s knack for infusing each track with a unique gimmick set them apart, and the exceptional sound quality of their productions further solidified their reputation.

Tragically, the music world lost Ard in 2021. Despite this profound loss, the legacy of Ard und Jorn lives on through the timeless beats of “16,” a track that continues to echo through the sets of renowned DJs. Each play serves as a poignant memoriam, honoring the creative spirit and lasting impact of Ard.

As we remember Ard und Jorn, their contribution to the music scene remains not only in this record they created but also in the indelible mark they left on the hearts of listeners and fellow artists alike.
